How To Create A Stunning, Fairytale Garden

If you're tired of your front lawn or backyard looking dull and stale, maybe it's time to breathe new life into it! A nicely decorated and well-manicured garden makes the area around your house a lot more elegant and increases your home’s value while also giving you a sense of peace and calm.

If you want to decorate your garden to look like it's right out of a fairytale, we’ve got you covered. We've narrowed everything down to three key features.

If you manage to follow them to the T, you’ll soon be able to take a stroll down your beautiful, magical garden.

Experiment With Garden Décor

The basic requirement of any garden design is a green, well-manicured, and regularly watered foundation. If you already have that and all the plants you want to be a part of it, let’s get started with the décor.

All great gardens have equally enchanting décor items. What you need to do is decide which ones will go with the design you have in mind. If you’re after a vintage theme, maybe go with a flower cart or a wheelbarrow that’s filled with your favorite plants.

If you’re aiming for a minimalist design, you can also have fairy and elf houses installed.

Nothing Says ‘Cinderella’ More Than A Water feature

We’re all familiar with Cinderella. For those of you who somehow missed out on watching the movie, the first time Cinderella meets her fairy Godmother is when she’s crying by a fountain, making it, or any other water feature, a must-have feature in a fairytale-themed garden.

Other options include waterfalls, a pond, a decorative well, or even many smaller fountains instead of one big, central one.

Use Appropriate Lighting

Finally, you can’t have a fairytale garden without some magical lighting, can you? To make sure that your garden looks even better at night than it does in the daytime, get some old-time fairytale lighting fixtures, and turn to vintage designs.

This is because most fairytales were actually set way back in time when modern features hadn’t yet been introduced. So fixtures like lanterns of all sizes, small chandeliers, and even candle holder styled lights are a better bet than any other modern garden lights.
